What is the total cost to get my Ontario Security Guard License?

Before you begin on your journey to working as a security guard, you should be aware of all of the costs involved.

 

Below you will find a summary of all the costs that you will need to consider from training to licensing:

 

1. Recognized Security Guard Training Course
   • We offer this course online for $99.00 + HST = $111.87
2. Emergency Level First Aid and CPR
   • We offer this course for $89.99 + HST = $101.69
3. Ontario Security Guard Exam
   • Online or in person with Serco $35.00 + HST = $39.55
4. Ontario Security Guard License
   • Your Application is completed online and the license is renewed every 2 years for $80.00

 

Once your application is approved, your new license card will arrive by mail within eight weeks.  But don’t worry, you will be able to download, print and legally work with a digital copy of your license before the card arrives in the mail.
