Has your Use of Force and Handcuffing Certificate expired?

Many Security Guards don’t realize that Canadian Courts recommend recertification every 12 months.

Our online Use of Force and Cooperative Handcuffing refresher course is for those who have previously completed a “certification” course in Use of Force and/or Handcuffing.

Our course is intended to bring you up to date on court acceptable methods and tactics as well as a full review of the following:

  • Ethics related to Use of Force
  • Communication and Conflict
  • Active Listening and Defensive Behaviour
  • Personal Safety and Situational Awareness
  • Legal Considerations
  • Cooperative Handcuffing
  • Searching and Arrest
  • And more!

Note: You will be asked to provide the name of your previous Instructor and/or Training Company upon first login to the course.

Why take this course?

If you work in an environment with an elevated risk of violence, such as a hospital, nightclub or other public location, the Ontario Ministry of Labour suggests Use of Force refresher training every 12 months as a best practice.
